Need help with remembering a SNES game !

Well basically if was a sort of top-down view , from the side however weird it sounds lol , and you ran round doing various tasks and stuff , trying to recruit people to your gang or something , getting into nightclubs etc.Almost everyday i think about what its called and its so annoying lol , if somebody has any ideas please help !Thanks :DNeed help with remembering a SNES game !
I have no freaking clue but here is a list of almost all SNES games:Need help with remembering a SNES game !
could it be shadowrun?
It maybe
Crap I cant give an exact timelime but basically you wake up in a morgue, make it into a club, get drugged and wake up in a junkyard, escape only to find out you have a bomb inside your head, go and fight a vampire, and then off to fight a spirit and a dragon. You can recruit fellow runners to help out from trolls to dwarves to elves, you get various guns, you are also a magical shaman and gain a dog spirit, and you can go into the ''matrix'' to get info and money.

You threw me when you mentioned ''from the side''. That type of view is called 3 quarter view.
Definately Shadowrun. It's such a great game. I hope we get a real sequel one day and not some Microsoft TPS report. The Genesis Shadowrun was ok too, but it was a completely different game from the SNES one. The SNES one had a richer story and definately made it more of an RPG. I don't really know any other game like it.
Genesis Shadowrun > SNES Shadowrun. And there is no hope for any shadowrun sequels because Microsoft has the rights and they just made a stupid FPS shooter out of it.
Shadowun SNES was a great game. It took me forever to figure out how to beatthe vampire.

Biggest Bad@ss???

My vote is going to Kratos the God of War, doesn't matter if you have a gun or a tank, he's going to rip your arm off and then beat you to death with it.:twisted:Biggest Bad@ss???
sinistra keeps making these threads; there's no reason to have copycats here...

Can you help me find the name of this RP ...

It was an RPG type game that I played on the Sega Channel as a kid. Early on in the game, your character finds a sword and it talks to him or something? Could also be there was a shining light and it leads to the sword. I know this sounds like the beginning of an SNES game but I played it on the Sega Channel so it was on the Genesis. I could be mixing up RPG's. You find the sword after falling off a cliff I think and there might be water, or you find it right under a cliff. You are also a young kid or at least a youth. Beyond that I don't really remember too much. Very vague I know but I would like to find this game. ANY help at all would be awesome! Any thoughts guys? Can you help me find the name of this RP ...
That sounds like it would be Sword of Mana for SNES. I'm not sure what that would be if it's not that one. Sorry. Can you help me find the name of this RP ...
any chance it would be story of thor?
ok i'll admit that i dont have a clue about the game jetlag is asking about, and i've never played story of thor, BUT, uhh doesn't thor usually have a hammer?
I'm really sorry to be soooooo vague, and the game reminds me of the Secret of Mana for the SNES. Is there an RPG on the Genesis that plays like Secret of Mana? You get kicked out of your home town by the townsfolk......Is that also Secret of Mana?Iv'e only played the game a few times when I was younger and got upset when they took it off Sega channel. It's not Beyond Oasis/ Story of Thor.... thanks though
It reminds me of a lot of Crusader of Centy
That sounds like it would be Sword of Mana for SNES. I'm not sure what that would be if it's not that one. Sorry.
Secret of Mana was for the SNES... Sword of Mana was for GBA

whoops... just realized that you ruled out Beyond Oasis... maybe it is Shining Force
You get kicked out of your home town by the townsfolk......Is that also Secret of Mana?
yes, and you are definitely talking about secret of mana.
Right, right, sorry. I can't believe I got the name wrong. I was playing it when I wrote the comment.
Landstalker begins with you inside a cave and accidentally falling into some water, which leads you to fall down a long waterfall. When you finally wash up on shore I think all you have is your sword.
Right, right, sorry. I can't believe I got the name wrong. I was playing it when I wrote the comment.
how ironic that you were playing it as you were writing the comment... confusion happens... I just don't want to seem like a jack@$$, know it all for correcting you

Hey, no problem. You had every right to correct it, most important thing is giving out the right information. :D

It can't be Secret of Mana, he played it on the Sega Channel. I bet he's talking about Landstalker. You get kicked out of your village in that one too, right? I don't remember, it's been so long.
The more I am looking at the game Landstalker, the more I think that was the game I am looking for. It looks familiar. Thanks guys for your help.

    Best games with cel-shaded graphics?

I love cel-shaded graphics and was wondering what the best games are with those graphics? I've already played Viewtiful Joe and while it is amazing at first, it gets annoying, frustrating, and repetitive too quickly.Best games with cel-shaded graphics?
Wind Waker is easily the best

Jet Grind Radio is probably the first game I remember being celshaded, although I doubt its actually the first though.. it was a cool game though..
    Best games with cel-shaded graphics?
''I'm announcing this as a hot-topic''. Cel-shaded/vector graphics are highly underused. But to answer your question, I'd say ''Dragon Ball Z Tenkatchi 3'' even-though I haven't played it yet.
The only game tha I like is Teamfortress 2.
havent played it but killer 7 looked good. best game i have played... jet set radio
The Sly Cooper series comes to mind. Oh, and Okami too. Especially Okami.
    XIII :)
Aside from Wind Waker, Jet Grind Radio, and Jet Set Radio, I've heard Wacky Races was pretty good. Oh and Killer Seven (I believe it's cel shaded).
Teamfortress 2 %26 The Jet Grind Games.
    this
    Sly Cooper.
    JSRF2
Jeanne De Arc for PSP. I was very surprised at how good this game came out. It's basically a cel shaded Shining Force. IMO it's more accessible then Final Fantasy Tactics.
Killer7 and No More Heroes are among my favorites.
The Wind Waker or Okami (I can't say which is better)
Dark Cloud 2 had some awesome cel-shaded graphics :)
Dark Chronicle, Dragon Quest VII, Jet Set Radio plus Future, Killer 7, Tales of Vesperia %26 Tales of Symphonia, Trusty Bell, PoPoLoCrois: Hajimari no Bouken %26 PoPoLoCrois: Tsuki no Okite no Bouken, Giftpia, Auto Modellista, Breath of Fire V, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Musashi: Samurai Legend, No More Heroes, Okami, Radiata Stories, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne %26 Digital Devil Saga, Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner, Rogue Galaxy.
Best one and you should try is from level 5 games-dragon quest VIII, dark cloud 1 and 2 plus Rouge galaxyXIII
My favorite cel-shading game would definitely be Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker. Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Viewtiful Joe 2, Jet Set Radio Fusion, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, and Killer7 get honorable mentions. I dunno about other games.
    Killer7
