Has Rare lost it?

In the 90's they had the Midas touch, almost every game of them was an instant classic. But since Microsofts take over they don't seem to deliver the goods anymore. Am I worried for no reason? Will Banjo Threeie be as good as we all hope.
Cuz face it things went downhill since Grabbed by the ghoulies, only Kameo was promising but the many platforms it had been developed on ruined it.Has Rare lost it?
I think Donkey Kong is nothing without Rare. I say this because Donkey Kong hasn't had an awsome platformer sence Donkey kong 64Has Rare lost it?

Back in the day when there was a golden Ron the box you had to buy the game and that was it but still some of their games retain the greatness of their past work, Viva Pinata is really one of the most original games this gen
I think Rare doesn't belong in Microsoft's territory. I mean, most of their games are focused to an audience that they will find with Nintendo. People that buy an Xbox360 don't want Banjo Kazooie and Viva Pinata, they want ''mature'' titles, speically FPS. If Rare goes back to Nintendo, it would do much better, I'm sure of it.

Also, stop stereotyping the Xbox 360 community.

Well, I had high expectations, when I found out Rare was going to work on xbox exclusives titles I went through the roof. It would do the console great to have a few colourful titles, but the titles that Rare offered are rare, and not that innovative.
While talking about Rareware is a good topic, especially seeing the road they're now on, but for the Legacy board it's hard to talk about this without mentioning new Rare titles available for the current consoles, making this slightly off-topic. As such, this would be a perfect topic for the General Games Discussion or System Wars.
