Final Fantasy Mystic Quest

Was this a good ff game? How come no one ever talks about it? Everyone just talks about ff7.Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
no one talks about it becasue it can barely be considered an FF game.Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
i thought it was cool back in the day. Haven't played it for a few years
This game gets a bad rap. In all honestly, it's a good game. Cannot compare to 4 or 6 on SNES, but MQ was really fun, and I thought, challenging in some areas. It was rather short though. Worth your time? IMO. yes, if you can find it.
It'd be good for kids who just learned to read and that may have taken an interest in watching a parent play RPG's. I played it when I was 13 maybe and thought it was pretty weak.
it isnt completely horrible, but if given the choice between the other fs on the snes i wouldnt take Mystic quest.
not a very good game. one main character, you have a couple of characters that jump in and out of your party (so a max of 2 characters, you and a companion at any given time) the story was weak, the whole system was weak. just all in all, pretty rotten. if you have a 2nd grader wanting to play an rpg (don't they all want to play gears of war and grand theft auto anyways?) then this would be a good game. not very hard at all, you could probably beat this in your sleep.
Mystic Quest is just very simplistic and basic. Not a bad game though.

Plus, it's got a kickin' little soundtrack.
Not terrible but actually far worse.
Folks rag on it WAY to much, It was a starter RPG, that happened to have the Final Fantasy brand on it. It was easier then the rest of the series and served as a pretty interesting way to get some folks who did not live and breath Dragon Quest or regular Final Fantasies into the genre. The fact that you only had to manage two characters was a bit of a pain, but never that much of an issue. Whenever you had Tristan in your party and that crazy ninja star he carried most battles were pretty easy. Its also a marriage between your standard RPG elements as well as the typical Zedla-esk adventure elements with jumping, chopping and laying bombs. It gets a bad wrap because it has Final Fantasy on it, had it been released as just Mystic Quest it would have stood on its own pretty well.
NOt bad, just simplistic and watered down. Don't play it after you have played FFII on the SNES like I did. Yikes.
One of my first RPGs, but I can't go back after playing any other games of the genre (especially the ones with the Final Fantasy name on them)
Simplistic yet is one fun game I still enjoy when I can.
There are a lot of games I would recommend before MQ, but it's not a bad game. Just don't expect much from it. It's basically an ''RPG for Dummies.''

Good music though.
