Well for me is Goldeneye, this game is just a classic and one of the best shooters for the consoles ever, it was a ton of fun to play with 3 other friends :) i have so many good memories of playing this also i played the campaign on every difficulty possible ^^.Best shooting game for N64
Well I never beat the single player campaign of Perfect Dark because I couldn't get past the robot in the Chicago level but I think I preferred Goldeneye 007 overall, I just loved that game.
i say perfect dark for sure for me. At least out of those two, i still think turok was the coolest game for N64
Goldeneye simply because i have never played the other one
I still to this day cannot understand how anybody can pick Goldeneye over Perfect Dark. They use the same engine but Perfect Dark has a much more comprehensive multiplayer. I don't think there's much difference really in the single player mode between the games so Perfect Dark has to take the cake. Don't get me wrong, I love Goldeneye but Perfect Dark is Goldeneye plus a few years of advancement in the gaming industry for Rare which really shows. Although, they did go backwards with PD Zero.
As stupid as that may sound but I had much more fun in Banjo Tooie's first-person shooting multiplayer mini-games, like the mine, the sewers and the temple. Ice eggs, clockwork mini-bird explosives, mines, etc. and it even had special game-modes like some sort of ''Insta-Gib''.For singleplayer shooters I'd say The World is not Enough was pretty good but Turok 2 was a bit better. Neither was much fun in multiplayer mode though. There is another game, name's ''Forsaken''. I only had the PC version so if the N64 version of it was a really bad port or something that forget what I said, but on the PC it had a really cool multiplayer-mode. If the N64 version was appropriately well ported I'd mention that as one of the top multiplayer first-person shooters too.
Pefect Dark. Im not a fan of james bond movies i did enjoy 007 though. Perfect Dark just proved that consoles had the power just as much as a pc ever did. and way more content :) only if it had online play at the time :(

man, you cant give up THAT easily, put a little more effort into your games. anyway my vote is perfect dark, the devoloper (rare) had obviously gone to amazing lengths to make this game incredible due to the sales of goldeneye that had come before it, i mean come on it shook the rest of the gaming industry to it foundations!!. (damn EA, wrecked it all with the sequel, mumble...)
i say perfect dark for sure for me. At least out of those two, i still think turok was the coolest game for N64
yes, turok does deserve a mention (the second anyway)
Perfect Dark. It's Goldeneye 007 2.0. Perfect Dark had voice acting, cinematics, more weapons, extensive AI, more multiplayer modes than any FPS released today, customizable characters, stats, achievements, challenges, etc. People who pick Goldeneye over Perfect Dark must have never fully played Perfect Dark or something. Perfect Dark is pretty much the perfect console FPS. Halo 1-3 as far as I know know doesn't even have bots or AI. Is that some fail - or what?
Operation winback i think is overlooked, its basically Metal Gear Solid set in stages. But yeah perfect dark is great just because of the bots in multi.
Turok is more an adventure game than a shooting game. But yeah Turok 2: Seeds of Evolution was pretty good.I spent LOTTT of hours playing Perfect Dark by myself and I didn't get bored. Goldeneye 007 was a great game when you were with lot of friends. The single player was good but Perfect Dark's single player was better :)
I like 007 GoldenEye, because 007 is one of my favorite games, and it has cool weapons.
Oh gee, it's been so long since I played either of those games. But I think I had more fun with Golden Eye.
Perfect Dark....it was a masterpiece.
goldeneye was just amazing on so many levels. Never ending action. two thumbs up
Golden Eye, because it practically put the console FPS on the map (PCs were FPS machines back then)
If it werent for Goldeneye, there would be no Perfect Dark...and besides...Goldeneye is the best FPS ever
Goldeneye 007. One of my favorite games ever. Plus I never played Perfect Dark.
