MGS Question

I want to start playing the MGS games, but i dont know which one to start with. i have MGS4 and i bought the Essentials Collection. Whats a good order to play them in?MGS Question

start with one. if u start from 3, ull miss out on enjoying alot of plot twists. so go 1,2,3,PO,4

yeah so definitely play through them in 1, 2, 3, 4 just so you dont spoil anything for yourself
Go with the numbered order 1-4, each game ties new material with what has already been established so by the end of Guns of the Patriots you have endured a very lengthy and well written narrative.

It is not about Snake's age, remember that in 3 you are playing as Big Boss, the soldier from which Solid Snake was cloned. 1,2 and 4 follow the progresion of Snake's life. Although the timeline of the games indeed flow 3-1-2-4, you should play them as intended by Kojima 1 to 4, in that order.

1, 2, 3, 4... this is the order you need to play it in; don't listen to anyone who says ''play it chronologically.''
Play them in numerical order. Its just common sense.
you should play em like this 1 2 3 4 but if your interested in the storyline so you will understand more start from 3 1 2 4, but then again i might be wrong nothing wrong with playing em 1 2 3 4
Like many other people said, play them as Kojima intended. 1,2, 3, 4. The 3rd game is a prequel in the storyline, but you're supposed to play that later to see plot twists that involve every other game including 4.
