Favorite Final Fantasys

I have a lot of downtime at my job this summer (projectionist work) and I've informally decided to go through a bunch of old FF games. With many of them fresh in my memory, it's becoming quite clear to me which ones are my favorite, just wondering how other people feel.BTW, I've omitted spinoffs to make it easier in my list although FFTactics is one of my favorite games ever1. FF 6 (far and away the best IMO)2. FF 53. FF 84. FF 1 (I started with this, so it holds a big place in my heart) 5. FF 36. FF 97. FF 7 (7 has the same problem as 4, they're roller coster RPGs, glide through the story with little to no skill/thought involved)
8. FF 29. FF 4N/A FF 10,11,12 (didn't play them, though I really want to play 12)Favorite Final Fantasys

I heard that 10 is better then 12 too..[/QUOTE]From what I've seen of 10 it doesn't seem like my cup of tea (though I had a bad first impression of 8, and now i love it).12 just strikes me as one of those games that people either love or hate, and considering it's helmed by one of my favorite game directors and has politically charged story akin to FFTactics, that seems like something i would like.
IV VI
IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX. Not necessarily in that order.
7 and 9 are my favorites and then 10, the rest fall under the rest. I'm playing FF9 now for the 1000th time.
I liked III, IV, VII and X alot... pretty much there all good lol

VIII and IX. The two that were oversahdowed by that terrible VII (Yes, I don't like VII. Oh noez)
FF5, 6, 7, and 10
Final Fantasy 8 %26 9. I wasn't keen on 7.

Final Fantasy VI (III as released here on the SNES) gets my vote. I wish it would get a proper remake on a current-gen system, complete with a more fleshed-out story. The characters in this one just seem a lot more interesting to me. I've played a lot of FF games since, but that one still gets my vote as the best.Final Fantasy VII of course should be mentioned, as it is one of the best games in the series. Another that I feel was very good, but unappreciated was FFIX. It seemed to get lost as the last PSOne FF, as well as the fact that it was kind of a throwback to the older games. In a lot of way, it's my favorite PSOne FF game.Final Fantasy I on the NES and Final Fantasy II/IV also get honorable mention from me. Without those games, I may have never embraced the RPG like I did.
i woud have to say VI is my #1, probably followed by VII %26 X, i really wish i played VIII or IX when i still had my ps1, i still havent played XII yet either, dam im missing out on a lot! lol
6, 7 and 1 are my favorites. though i started replaying 9 and am enjoying it more than the when i first played it.
